In 1961, the Police Department of Inglewood, California produced this short film to warn boys about a dangerous predator lurking in their midst...the homosexual. The best part is probably the part when the narrator refers to homosexuality as "contagious."

That was hilarious. I love how to beware of of the super dangerous homosexual was the main message, not to beware of stalkers, child predators, and killers.

Of course back then seat belts were an OPTION! I remember my father buying a new car and touting the padded dash and optional seat belts as great safety features!!

When I first opened the thread, I thought this was an old Jack Nicholson movie.

Hitchhiking was a a way of life back then. You don't see anyone doing it these days. I used to hithchike 70 miles to the Jersey shore every Sunday. 2 hours down and 2 hours back and rarely had to wait more than 5 minutes to get a lift.

A pedophile is for the most part a homosexual? I'm sure some pedophiles are gay, but I don't think it's the vast majority by any means. I don't have any statistics to back that up, so I guess I could be way wrong.

False. The vast majority of sexual offenders against children are folks like me: straight males, sexually assaulting females. Males are victims in far fewer cases.

That's why I always tell people to watch out for folks like me. I'm statistically the most dangerous person out there when it comes to sex offenses.

I was just about to say that the film isn't far off from what many still say today! I think I'll refrain.
