This may sound messed up, but it really doesnt mean anything to me unless gay had tied or beaten(or at least been close) to his WR. Usains head clearly wasnt in it.
Go Hawkeyes.
I don't disagree as the fact of the matter is the last time Gay put up a time this fast Bolt ran a 9.58 and just annihilated him.
Just making note of the fact that it happened.
I saw that and thought someone had put Bolt on the list of greatest athletes on the other thread. I must have seen that on one of the top ten lists I googled. But, does anyone think that Bolt might be on an "off cycle" of steroids? I know he passed the Olympic testing, but I still wonder. It's sad when I have to wonder about every athlete, but these are the times.
That's part of my thinking process. If you are on the verge of world class, do you take the drugs or not. It's everyone's own decision. I just wonder if Bolt did it or not. He comes from a poor country and would probably do anything to get out or make money. I don't blame him. Believe me, I don't judge anyone who chooses to take steroids. I'm just saying, I am a little gun-shy to say he didn't.
And growing up, I was gun-shy to say someone did. Don't know if I got more cynical, more aware, or if athletes really did change their mindset. I see LeBron, Bosh and Wade teaming up instead of trying to beat each other, baseball players moving anywhere just for the money, ect.... I just don't trust any athlete anymore.
My short list of those I do trust(in baseball, basketball, football) are Albert Pujols, Ken Griffey Jr., Steve Nash, Dirk Now(however you spell it), Chris Paul, Brett Favre, Carson Palmer and Brady Quinn. And I think Brady will do anything to get a start, so he's iffy.
