I had a discussion about "lil" and Lil Wayne just the other day with my 17 year old. We got a new computer, a Mac Mini (or Lil Mac) in the kitchen to replace an old system. We decided that since it had a lot of storage space, we'd put all of our music on it and just back up ipods from there. We got some nice speakers and it's great. Anyway, I was noticing that there were a lot of "Lil's" in the names of the artists he was uploading. We Wikipediaed Lil Wayne and saw that his name was Dewayne something Jr. We laughed because we have a Big Dean and a Lil Dean in our family. Lil Dean is now about 6'1" or so and an inch or two bigger than Big Dean. I don't think I've ever heard them called Dean Sr. or Dean Jr. When you want to clarify which one you are refering to it's just Big Dean or Lil Dean.

bonnieJ2 - Lil Wayne's name is Dwayne Carter, Jr. And, I also have the same name as my dad and am often referred to as Lil although I'm probably 3 inches taller than my dad (and have a son with the same name who technically should be the new Lil but then I don't know what that makes me ... it's all so confusing).

Jensen - do they include Lil Wayne, Lil Romeo, Lil Bow Wow, & Lil Kim? how about Yung Joc, Yung Berg, and Young MC?
