    Default Everyone loves Hitler,

for they can use him as a tool to smear their ideological opponents, or just anyone they don't like (Big's comparison to Vick).

I've previously railed against the term "islamo-fascist" (apparently a creation of talk radio) for its patent dishonesty. Well, I was listening to a guy (Chris Hedges?) on the radio last night (a leftist) criticizing the religious right, and at one point he called them "christo-fascists". In my mind, he undercut his argument by using this term (as well as certain other rhetorical exaggerations).

Left wing talk radio is just as bad as right wing. Even if you believe everything they say, you're in a bad mood about life in general after listening for five minutes.

When you drown, electrecute or shoot dogs for your own pleasure, that is pretty Hitlerian to me. Jensen can close a 1000 threads but I stand by my thinking and I truly believe Vick has a similar thirst for death and suffering that Hitler had.

Hitler killed people. Vick did not. If you want to call it the same, cie la vie, but I call it bluster and exaggeration. The effect, as Bonnie correctly points out, is to create a bad mood about someone.

It doesn't matter to me if someone kills a person or a dog. That is the truth. If I see someone killing a dog for one's pleasure I would have no qualms about killing that person and be proud of it.

Murder is murder and I don't buy that Christian belief that dogs can take abuse from people.

Forget murder. Someone hits a dog on the street for no reason and I will throw a stone at that person. No difference whether they hit a child or a dog.

Big I can't help this, but where in the Hell did you get that it was a Christian belief that dogs can take abuse from people. This is the most asinine thing I have heard anyone say in a very long time.

I have to go take an aspirin for the horrible headache I now have in trying to figure this out.
