Hilarious. I hate USC and Lane Kiffin. They deserve every bit of this punishment and are lucky it didn't happen years earlier. Now, does Bush have to give up his Heisman, or USC it's BCS ring?

Last I heard was they are going for Bush's heisman. I guess he was inelligible to play in the national championship game, but did anyway. I don't like USC, but this stuff happens everywhere. They just don't investigate until you win. I'll bet Baylor is doing something wrong, but we will never know, since they don't win.

But, being from Ohio, I hope RYOU is right. Screw Michigan!!! That's just southern canada. And canada doesn't even want them!

Technically, they are obligated to rescind the award and ask for its return. The question becomes, when will they award it to Young. It could be a supplementary ceremony next December, or an independent ceremony with less pomp and circumstance. My guess is, they will wait for USC to exhaust all appeals, then ask for the return of the statue and re-award it to Young next December. If they do reward Young the trophy, imo, it would be cool if he gave it right back to Bush. No athlete wants an award in this way and it isn't like steroids or something was involved. And, if they wanted to, the NCAA could probably find a reason why Young was ineligible too.

I'm glad they came down hard on the School as a whole for what they did not only in football but basketball as well. I think though that they needed to be tougher on the coaches and others within the school.

They need an entire overhaul of the system. It isn't 1920 anymore. These kids, like Reggie Bush, aren't going to USC to get an education. It is laughable that the NCAA still tries to convince us that that is what they are doing. They give these kids scholorships and they don't go to classes, have others do their work or proffessors "give" them grades. Four years later the dean hands these guys a degree that they know full well they didn't earn. It's a joke.

I think they should be able to play football and basketball to represent the school and choose not to enroll in classes. This still brings money into the school, which is all they really want anyway, and it frees the players from having to lie about everything. Those who choose not to enroll and get hurt are just out of luck. Those who choose to enroll would be expected to perform in the classroom like everyone else. But I know that will never happen.
