Interesting how much we complain in this country about the price of gas. I'm sure people in Europe complain just as much, but they also are smart enough to buy more fuel efficient cars, use mass transit, and motorcycles to combat it. The Grande Punto gets 58 mpg hyway and looks cool to boot. I want one now. (not availiable in the US, whynot?)

The car wouldn't pass safety standards or emission standards.
Getting the car to pass emissions modifications required by the EPA would reduce gas milage.
