I'll pick Argentina to win it all.

    Just a hunch.

Big moment for the US coming in about five hours.

Thought South Africa v. Mexico yesterday was a very exciting game despite ending in the 1-1 tie, France v. Uruguay on the other hand was sloppy and boring although watching Thierry Henry try and call for a hand ball late in the match was kind of funny.

South Korea is currently up 2-0 on the Greeks and generally giving them the business all over the field.

Not exactly the way we wanted to kick things off here...

And we're level after England's goalie lets a major league soft goal in.

    Match ends tied 1-1.

Even with their goal the only really manufactured scoring chance the US had through out the game was from a great singular effort from Jozy Altidore when he hit the post in the 64th minute. Hopefully they're able to get their offense on track against Slovenia and Algeria next week.

England had a lot more chances on goal, but Tim Howard is just that dude. Clearly the man of the match. The US also did a nice job keeping Wayne Rooney off the ball, Oguchi Onyewu played very well in that regard as did Jay Demerit despite the fact that he got himself booked.

Not going to be a good few days for Robert Green.

Donovan had a decent chance on goal from the pivot, went just high. Still, great day, I'll take the point.

Germans definitely looking like a team to be avoided right now as they're up 3-0 on Australia right now in the 68th minute and have narrowly missed on a few other chances.

Miroslav Klose got his 11th career World Cup goal

Australia is terrible. That said, Germany still looked really impressive, even though their opponents were awful. Germany was CONSTANTLy on the attack, it felt like they were threatening every minute or two. That's insane.

That said, the team that impressed me most (although also against mediocre opposition) was Argentina. Messi is just insane. He didn't even score a goal, but he had like 8 or 9 serious strikes, it was insane watching him play.
