    Default Bonds 756!!!!!!!!!!!!oh Yeah!!!!!!!!!

Full count, launched it over the centerfield fence! Classy Hank Aaron offered congratulations on the JumboTron, Willie Mays and Barry walking arm in arm across the field, Fans in full-on love fest, fireworks, Giants owner McGowen in tears as he hugs his franchise player, Barry (and me too) tearing up as he thanked his father - Every bit priceless!

I couldn't help but to wonder what I would do if it were me that came up from the pile with the ball...and I came to the conclusion that I would have taken a big thick sharpie with me to the ball park and put a big huge asterik on the ball and sold it back to him for a nice chunk of change...

I was mostly watching the Rockies game last night for they talked most of the time about baseball--a welcome relief from ESPN the Soap Opera. But I turned back to the SF game just as the pitch was being thrown, and saw 756 launched.

    Random thoughts:
    --Aaron's speech was nice
--Funny watching Bond's kid leap over the railing in the background
--Despite ESPN's make-me-want-to-puke coverage the last few weeks, it was nice to see the Giants, and other teams we would not normally see, on TV for a change. It was fun watching the Nats and hitting machine Dmitri Young, for example (saw him go 4 for 4 in a Triple A game years ago).
--Willie Mays continued to hit a lot of home runs near the end of his career
    --Bonds looks like his mom
--players who hit 40-50 home runs in recent years, who can't even hit 20 anymore, even while playing full-time. Todd Helton, Luis Gonzalez, Shawn Green, Brady Anderson (retired). I wonder why?
    --I'm glad it's over

I will chime in, I think the world of Brother MOJO but can't get all excited about this and I love the game, especially the older era when it was still mostly a game.

I know people talk about Aaron, a classy individual who gave me a measure of respect for Bonds after his comments. A lot of people say a lot of things about Aaron, but seldom is there talk of the games he likely missed because he was Black and didn't get the early nod to play in the Majors. If you have never read If I Had A Hammer, by all means do, a great book.

As to Barry, enjoy it while you can, I hope you are clean and earned it rightfully, if using the juice though, I have a problem with it. As to the record, I think shorter lived than Henry's due to the other guy who hit 500 the other night and is presently way ahead of most everyone else at that junction. You all know who that is don't you? Of course, he may never see 700+ homers, but then again, who knows?

    GO A-ROD!!!!

Also IMO, they should not have stopped the game like that. I can see maybe doin it after the game, but not in the middle of an inning. What ever happened to a guy just steppin out of the dugout and takin his hat off to the crowd?
