My mom went to High School in Hibbing with Bob Dylan (Zimmerman). He is a few years older then my mom.

She says he was laughed at pretty harshly for his singing at the high school talent show.

Ironically now the town has a street named after him. A local bar has also taken his name (Zimmy's)

My mom has always loved his music and I have grown up listening to Bob Dylan songs since I was a baby.

Ah, my Uncle Jimi. Someone put this version of the song on a mix tape for me when I was in high school, and I've always loved it.

My brother went to high school with Jimmy Hendrix, who was actually a white guy that I think sold insurance as a career! I took graduate courses with Miles Davis.....but not the jazz artist.....

Well, I went to school my whole life with Ian Mayo! Not only the grandson of one of the Mayo brothers, but more importantly, the bass player in Hericane Alice.
