I don't get the big issue with dishes. I wash dishes all the time, it's no better or worse than any other household chore.
BTW I am the only one wondering why they have a sword lying around?
When Fan cooks, someone else should do the dishes ... provided they can move after stuffing their faces.

This also works with laundry. Ruin one load of clothes by mixing whites and colors and lots of bleach and you are off laundry duty forever.
I would recommend hiding all the swords in the house before trying either of these.
