Clearwater KS 8 inches, ICT 10 inches, and that was w/o Ike, it went to the east of us. The most rain in the history of record keeping for a 24 hour period in Wichita. Are you at home? Bet you were flooded in if you were. I couldn't imagine this city in a hurricane zone. Re: Ike, have some friends in Houston who had some damage from trees in their yard. Others in Galviston who lost everything.

This is our parking lot at work, now a part of the Salt Creek that runs next to it.

Huge wind damage here in Ohio. All the schools in the area were closed today. Ike went through yesterday, but we were to the east of the actual storm and rainfall. Gusts up to 70 mph.

One of the things I don't understand, is those who rode it out, even after they were told to leave, are now among the first that are complaining because they aren't getting helped as quickly as they would have liked.

Where did he go ? I check the map to day and he's no where to be found. I thought sure he'd be spinning east from OH.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.
