Awwww, shit, M. What's the prognosis?
I'll know a lot more this week when they do the biopsy. It shouldn't be panic time - it's prostate cancer - and the doctor thinks we caught it pretty early. My wife and kids are taking it a lot harder than I am - I'm probably too dumb to worry.
I am sorry to hear that MR.
I am trying to set it up to go to Mexico & see an Australian MD who has developed a vaccine for cancer. His video is on the previous page, post #20 if you are interested. If you hear what he has to say about why traditional stuff AND alternative stuff isn't working in the long run you may re-think whatever course of treatment you are considering.
The first hour is him taking apart both traditional & alternative approaches. Then he explains how he came up with his technique. The last 30 minutes he goes over the before & after x-rays of his patients & takes questions from the audience.
No matter what you choose to do, I have found that you have to find what works for you. I wish you good luck with that process & pray for your good health. If you have any Qs feel free to drop me a line.
Since I am not going to Mexico for 3-4 weeks I have decided to continue with another 10 rounds of radiation, (that would make it a total of 25, Standard of Care is 35).
Of course I wanted to make sure that I could still get the Vitamin C IV drips every other day like before. I asked Dr Young about that & he has agreed to let me do them on credit which is great because they are $100 per bag, (I have run out of funds currently to be able to pay him cash; I have no insurance except Medicaid & they won't pay for anything BUT chemo & radiation).
To give you an idea of how powerful the Vit C is & how much it has been in helping me, the Radiation Oncologists have been amazed @ how much & how quickly the main tumor has shrunk AND @ the lack of side effects.
My hair isn't falling out, (there is no hair growing on the right side of my jaw though). I am slightly dehydrated & taste buds are a little messed up. More importantly my White Blood Cell count has NOT crashed, (one is 5% up & another 5% down & the rest UNchanged) My Red Blood Cell count is down about 10%. BUT my immune system continues to be strong. The MDs can't believe it. I attribute it all to the Vit C & the multitude of supplements I have been taking along with the alkaline water I have been drinking.
If anyone wants a list of the supplements just PM me.
Radiation treatment #22 yesterday plus 75 grams of liquid Vitamin C. Feeling great. Just did Radiation treatment #23 today & now @ Starbucks on Liveblog for the CKI. I wish I was back out @ my house in Laughlin so I could be @ the vent like last year. Making plans for Mexico & seeing Dr Chachoua.
Last radiation treatment today. 75 more grams of vitamin C Thursday the 9th.

Now it looks like just a nasty sunburn
there is less then 2 inches of tumor below the surface of the skin.
Missed a call from the Mexico Doc yesterday.
Hopefully I will be making plans this week. May miss Christmas @ home.
