I'm going to try to watch most games, but any involving matchups of the US, Canada, Russia, or Sweden should be the most competitive.Quote:

Yes, men's hockey. But I'm pretty nervous considering it took us (canada) a shootout to beat friggin' switzerland.
Yeah, that was a shock, but when a goalie gets hot their team is hard to beat. Hiller was hot last year in the playoffs and carried the Ducks.Quote:

Well, it's time for the Big Rematch!!! Both teams have looked pretty good... Canada is the top ranked team coming in, the US is the top ranked team after the prelims... gonna be a good one!
Speaking as a huge San Jose Sharks fan, I have to say that I hope Thornton continues his long history of choking in big games. On the other hand, it would be good for him to remove the monkey from his back and finally win a big game - maybe it would pay dividends in the playoffs.
Regardless, if I was betting money on the game I'd go with Canada. I'm hoping for a US win though.
After the USA win I thought that this would be the final. Canada blasted Russia but thought that they had the semi won in the 2nd period. I am sure they are going to hear about that all over the Canadian media. After the 2nd I would have given the line as Canada by 2.5 but now I would say Canada by 1.5.
It is going to be a slugfest. The diff will be if Miller can keep it up. Team USA should have a lot of confidence after that 1st period shellacking of Finland.
I have been looking forward to this game. Unfortunately the strm has knocked out my power. Hopefully it will be back up before game time.
I used to be a huge hockey fan, but never watch the NHL anymore.
I would like to see the US win, but won't be upset if the Canadiens win either. I don't need to see the US dominate everything and it will be nice for Canada to get the Gold since it means more to them as a nation.
