So, in essence the movie doesn't hold water if you realize that the movie is advocating the least Democratic and the most military state as the model and a victor in the movie. In antiquity Sparta was a Dorian Greek military state, originally centered in Laconia. As a city-state devoted to military training, Sparta possessed the most formidable army in the Greek world, and after achieving notable victories over the Athenian and Persian Empires, regarded itself as the natural protector of Greece.[1] Laconia or Lacedaemon (??????????) was the name of the wider city-state centered at the city of Sparta, though the name "Sparta" is now used for both. The Kings of Sparta were believed to be the direct descendants of Heracles.[2] Adolf Hitler, considered Sparta to be the first National Socialist state, and praised its early eugenics treatment of deformed children.[3] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sparta | eh shuddup!!!

Second time was in IMAX.
Not only a cool movie, but also very "artfully".

I initially thought the movie would not be that good, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I'm half afraid to buy it on DVD because my TV will never live up to the IMAX experience.

I still remember you sleeping through the movie the first time you saw it. Another note, and to be a decenter here, while it wasn't the most overrated movie of the year, it was certainly up there, just my opinion and I'll still likely end up buying it or at least someone else in my family will because they liked it so much.

Nothing like with Spiderman 3...

Come on man, your 10 minutes is the longest 10 minutes I have ever seen. Besides a great movie can wake the dead. BTW today, (friday) opening day, gotta be home by 4 though. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
