I think the more Urban Meyer denies it the more likely it is he will end up @ ND.

His statements are the typical PR cryptics: "I'll stay in Florida as long as they will have me...."

Don't forget that years ago he said it would be his dream job....

Weis is meeting with AD on Tuesday Dec 1, 3 days after the Stanford game.

Weis now has a lower winning percentage than Davies and Whittingham and a win at Stanford won't make it higher than their records.

Does this sound like a coach with confidence?

“If they decide to make a change, I’d have to say I’d have a tough time arguing with them,”

ND likes to get an early start on hiring. The announcement will be made on Tuesday. Big Chaz won't be around for the Bowl if the alumni can muster up the $10 mil they are going to owe Weis for the next 6 years. I'm sure they are hedging he will get rehired and will only have to cough up the difference. Will he get another head coaching job, NFL of other? Doubtful. The fact he was his own offensive coordinator calling the plays won't help in valuing his services.

Now to pry Urban Meyer from his fat contract at Florida....A) ND will have to beat the counter offer from Florida, B) ND will have pay Meyers contract buy out penalty, another couple a mil. C) ND must fund both of the above while still paying alimony to Weis. ND is gonna have to some very deep pockets in their corner. Cincinnati's Kelly will be a whole lot cheaper in the short run, unless Father Flanagan somehow gets Weis to resign pulling ND out of the hole.

Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

Regardless of what you think about ND (and I don't like them,) they have recruited very well recently.
I thought this was common knowledge but I'll clue you in. ND has probably this biggest following of any college football team, it's nationwide. All these people have subscriptions to these magazines and they want to be told what they want to hear. If these publications get wind that ND is looking at a kid they'll bump em up a star or 2 and bump them up a good many rankings for the mere fact that they are on NDs recruiting list.

Name me 5 solid NFL players taht Notre dame has in the league.

THey have one:Justin Tuck. Name another.

Brady quinn was a top knotch guy but looking back we are seeing right now he's just not that good, he wasnt that good against good teams in college, and he can barely start for the worst team in football.

Does Claussen look like the best recruit now? Far from it, i can name probably 10 qbs i'd rather have than him. These guys arent that goood in the first place you see?

You don't follow recruiting too close do you? Claussen was the #1 recruit for his class by all rating sources before he played a game as a junior in HS. He had offers from every program in the nation then, long before he named ND as even his favorite. Yeah, sometimes guys get knocked up a little by a school looking at them, but not to the #2 class in the country. What they do in the NFL doesn't mean they weren't highly recruited going to college. Hindsight is 20/20, but that doesn't mean their classes weren't good. Sayin ND's recruiting might take a hit with their play is one thing, but saying their recruiting has been bad recently is flat out wrong.

49 players? Wow, that's up from 2007 when ND only had 30.

Ohio State only has 38 on current rosters.
