I hate when people use "th", "nd", or "st" in full dates with years, as in :July 27th, 2007. That's wrong, wrong, wrong.

I agree completely. I hate to sound like the grammar police, but I can't stand it when people don't use the correct form of the following:

    your, you're

    their, there, they're

    whether, weather

    here, hear

    wear, where, we're

    etc.

It's almost enough to make me disregard everything they've written as the ramblings of an ignorant arse.

It's the same when I hear those on national television networks using incorrect grammar and pronunciation. You're paid to speak english. Please do it correctly. And for goodness sake, pronounce the names of the people you're reporting about correctly.

Exalt! It seems to be an epidemic. One person misuses a word on television, and then people must think that it's correct because the people on TV said it, and it goes on, and on.

Speaking of TV, I hate hearing educated people trying to sound hip or using slang when it isn't in their vocabulary. I just saw ESPN's Stuart Scott and he is the biggest example of this. Just read the highlights, don't tell me "so-and-so is gettin jiggy w/ it out here dawg". What?
He let himself down, for what...a woman. I say, go be a world champion let the women come to you......Tito Ortiz

Yes, yes, yes! When regular folks make an error it can be excused, but tv newscasters are professionals and should be held to a higher standard.

A common error: None of the victims were seriously injured. "None" is singular (it means "not one"), so the statement should be, None of the victims was . . .."

There's a local ad for a jewelry store in which they pronounce jewelry "jewlery." It's like fingernails on a blackboard to me. I also cringe when February is pronounced "Febuary." (I won't even bother to mention nucular)

Spider: anal and proud of it.
Atrophy: what you get when you win atournament.

I've never heard anyone pronounce February as "February" - maybe a local thing?

I hate nucular. That's what Homer Simpson calls it, but that don't make it right.
You do the math..... I'll do the alfredo!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
