My favorite doomsday BCS scenario would be (and I know that this is probably impossible) for all but one of the BCS conferences teams to lose. Say only UF or Alabama was still undefeated, and Boise St. also stayed undefeated. If this happened, there would be a chance that Oregon could finish #2 in the polls, which would mean they would play UF/Bama instead of an undefeated Boise State which beat them. I know crazy things would have to happen, but that scenario might spell the end of this stupid system which we now have.

That idea is not far fetched. Even though Boise State carries position over Oregon in the polls and overall BCS standings, Oregon is ahead of BS in the computer rankings. There is a chance Oregon could gain a few more computer points on strength of schedule over the next few weeks. It is computer rated strength of schedule that has Iowa at No.4 while only 7 or 8 in the polls.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

Yeah, it would just take a lot of little things. Texas losing. Iowa losing. Cinci losing. Oregon winning out. Boise State winning out. None are too unlikely alone, but altogether, not too likely. Thing is that if Oregon was voted higher in the polls, since they count for 2/3, the computer could possibly not matter. Wouldn't that be a great way to say "eff you" to the current system? It kills me that there is no playoff. It would create so much excitement, and you could keep the rest of the bowl games. They wouldn't really matter, but they don't really matter now anyways. Every level off football from Pop Warner, to HS, to Div 1-AA, Div 2, the CFL, the NFL...have a playoff. Its BS D1 football doesn't. Sorry, done ranting.
