Thread: Mt. Cody!

    Default Mt. Cody!

Blocks 2 kicks(the last one with the game on the line)
Alabama v. Tennesee was a FG contest, but it was still a good one. Cody could have been penalized for taking his helmet off immediately after blocking the kick(during the play essentially) which would have given Tennessee more yards and a closer fg attempt. But who wants to win like that?

Was time still on the clock when he threw his helmet off?

That's the only thing that seemed out of place. I've seen similar games lost because of a defensive player throwing his helmet before the final play was blown dead.

After one officiating crew was suspended for over zealous flagging, this crew wouldn't dare.

Well, the SEC offcials missed another big one, when they failed to call the last Florida touchdown as a touchback on a fumble. It seems like the SEC officials only get calls really wrong when those calls favor Alabama and Florida.

That may not be the case, but it's getting a little too coincidental.

I believe so. The announcers were talking at length about it. I remember the NFL game that ended like that in 2003. It's such a lame way to lose that I'm glad it didnt happen.

Blame the replay official for not calling that one out.

I was wrong, just heard clarification about the rule. The correct no-call was made. The blocked kick is a dead ball apparently.
