Perch will hit anything you put on the hook, I have caught them on bare hooks before.

Corn is a really good option as are the jars of Salmon eggs. I have caught a lot of Trout on both.

RU - what a great idea! All these years and I never saw or thought of that. They can be purchased from American Science and Supply cheaply. http://www.sciplus.com/search.cfm/sc...DT/term/clamps
For anyone not framiliar with American Science and Supply, it is a toy store for big guys!

Thanks for the very cool store link! I would like to own the "RUBE GOLDBERG KIT"! That would be a blast!

We have several stores like this place seems to be locally called Ax-Man Surplus.

Looks like a great river to do some fly-fish on.

OD, check under those rocks and see whats crawling about. Stick it a hook without weight and let them float it in the water. Guaranteed you'll get fish.

Aside from that, you have to teach them to fly fish. It's the perfect river for wet and dry flies, particularly during the NH summers.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

Somebody is going have to teach me to fly fish first.
I have watched a "River Runs Through It" so I'm mostly there.

Perch meat is also good for catching perch or perch eyes. Small tube jigs or berkely power tails. Live minnows may be an option also for larger perch
