Thread: DeAngelo Williams or Steve Slaton?

Default DeAngelo Williams or Steve Slaton?

I've got my money Fantasy draft this evening, and with the pick that I have it looks like I may wind up choosing between one of the two guys above.

Frankly I'm a little torn, I'm feeling really good about Slaton this year but after Williams' monstrous second half last year I'm wondering if he's too good to pass up.

    Thoughts?

I just read yesterday on espn.com that they expect Slaton to be a breakout player this year. Take that for what's it's worth.

I believe I would go with Williams over Slaton.

Guys who have HUGE breakout seasons typically come back to Earth a little. I like Steve Slaton a lot as well, since he carried my team at times last year. So I guess I'm biased towards Slaton, and I really like him. And DeAngelo is still losing carries to Jonathan Stewart.

You're regret it. After watching Slayton single hand dismantle virtually every team in the Big East and others like Georgia, no way would I not want him on my sideline. As little as he is, the defender never a full poke at him. He's a master of limiting the hit to small change.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

    Went with Slaton.

Then got Ronnie Brown who I like a lot as he's in a contract year in round 2.

    QB: Philip Rivers
    QB: Ben Roethlisberger
    RB: Steve Slaton
    RB: Ronnie Brown
    RB: Rashard Mendenhall
    RB: Jamaal Charles
    RB: Shonn Greene
    WR: Hines Ward
    WR: Torry Holt
    WR: Domenik Hixon
    WR: Devery Henderson
    WR: Miles Austin
    TE: Greg Olsen
    K: Nate Kaeding
    D: Baltimore

    So here is my team.

Little thin at receiver (although this seems to be a theme with my Fantasy team nearly every year save for last year) but I'm pretty satisfied with my guys for now.

I like you're team. Nice RB's with a few solid sleeper picks (Charles and Greene). Definitely a little weak at WR, though.

    My first team:

    QB: Peyton Manning
    QB: Ben Roethlisberger
    RB: Michael Turner
    RB: Ryan Grant
    RB: Derrick Ward
    RB: Chester Taylor
    WR: Roddy White
    WR: Vincent Jackson
    WR: Kevin Walter
    WR: Domenik Hixon
    TE: Greg Olsen
    TE: Tony Scheffler
    D/ST: Baltimore Ravens
    D/ST: Carolina Panthers
    K: Mason Crosby
