How is that any proof? So they came out to watch a once per year novelty event. I'm sure the people of Jacksonville would sell out if they only had one game per year, but that's not the case now is it?

The English sell out every soccer and rugby game that's played at Wembley. As well as every game in every city for the EPL. American football would be like the NHL is here. 3rd or 4th place in fan interest behind soccer and rugby, and tied with cricket at best.

I'm not a soccer fan, but I'll watch rugby any day of the week. Those are men and true warriors on the field.

Like therick said about rugby, those guys are warriors on the field. I, however, have no idea of the rules or strategy or anything and therefore I don't watch it. Same thing for the rest of the world and American football.

There was the final of some rugby league on Spike a few weeks ago and I watched that. Tried reading up on the rules and have a good idea, but the nuances of the game will require some more watching experience to get. The announcers weren't great but it's not like football where you stop every 10 seconds and the color guy can souw you the replay and tell you what happened and why. Still very interesting and much better than soccer

I enjoy playing golf a whole more then watching it, of course I will not watch any sport more than 3 hours including wrestling, TV in it's self is boring after a few hours.

What can make watching rugby even more confusing is that there are multiple versions of rugby that have some slightly different rules.

The two most seen on American television are Rugby League and Rugby Union.

League is what is usually being played if you watch two clubs from different English/Irish/Welsh/Scottish cities playing each other.

Union is what they play in the world cup or Six Nations competitions.

Union is the original sport and League is derived from that. League is more similar to our football in that there are downs, but if you don't score after (I think it's four) your downs, you have to kick it away to the other team sort of like our punt.

I personally like Union better, but then I like defensive struggles in American football to shootouts, so take that for what it's worth.

If you watched the Browns v. Bills a few weeks ago and thought that was entertaining, then I don't know what to say.

Actually, I find most pro games to be about as exciting as watching fishing. In both you see a few idiots who celebrate like they just won the stanley cup every time they do something that's part of their job. I don't find that entertaining at all.
