The truth of the matter is that the east isn't as good as the west. I'm not sayin they'd win 70 or anything like that, but i think their record would be better. That's just a common correlation with playing worse teams.

Your response: No, the East isn't as good as the West. I'll add this for you: The Eastern Conference posted a winning record over the Western Conference, head to head, this season: http://www.cleveland.com/datacentral...sts_winni.html

Just look at the playoff teams for the east: Cleveland-good Celtics-good Orlando-good Atlanta-swept by a good team Miami-beat by the team that was swept by a good team Philly-.500 team Chicago-.500 team who won a series against a team who was missing their best player Detroit-4 games under .500 and has no identity or chemistry and STILL made the playoffs??? Now look at the west Lakers-have the best player on earth right now, with the second most winningest coach of all time Denver-crazy talented team with 2 stars billups and anthony Spurs-4 time champs with that same nucleus intact Portland-has a number 1 pick who sits the bench because they have THAT much young talent(16 games over .500) Houston-very talented team with great defenders who won 27 straight(approximately) last year, and has that same team back plus artest is one of the best defenders in the league(15 games over .500) Dallas-Has one of the best point guards of all time and a dominant scorer. New Orleans-last year this team nearly broke through, has arguably the best point guard in the league along with david west and tyson chadler(and they were only a 7 seed?(14 games over .500) Utah-has one of the best one two punches of darren williams and carlos boozer and for whatever reason(namely poor road play) cannot get into the conference finals(14 games over .500) That gives the west 4 more teams with over a .500 record. If you ask any basketball analyst you would probably be laughed at if you said the west was a better overall conference.

Lebron haters never cease to amaze me. The stupid follow the lead of the jealous like little sheep.

Interesting stats for all to further debate. Cleveland-88 Los Angeles-105 James-9-25 with 23 points 9 rebounds 4 assists 4 steals 6 turnovers Bryant-9 of 22 with 20 points 6 rebounds 12 assists 1 steal 5 turnovers Cleveland-91 Los Angeles-101 James-5 of 20 with 16 points 8 rebounds 12 assists no steals and 1 turnover Bryant-8 of 17 with 18 points 3 rebounds 2 assists 1 steal and 2 turnovers Now personally, I am a huge fan of Kobe Bryant and have been since his rookie season. This argument seems pointless though. There's no way to prove that one is better than the other. It's about like a Magic Johnson vs Larry Bird argument. Both are amazing players and their media made rivalry will help the league for years to come. This year I do think James was the better player and will agree he did more with less. Bryant though in my opinion is the best closer in the game. He's got more of a killer instinct. Lebron will develop that though as he matures. Also, Lebron as great as he is does need help before he'll get that first title. Even Jordan needed some help.
