Default Leftwich or Culpepper

Both are in Pittsburgh today trying out for the back up QB spot after Charlie Batch broke his collarbone.

Considering that Rothlesberger was one of the most sacked QBs last season and the OL looks a bit porous again this year, the back up QB position might figure in big time this season.

As a Steelers fan, hopefully neither but as you note given the porous state of the offensive line they may become a possibility.

Of the two, I'd say Culpepper.

I'm assuming Culpepper is a bit more mobile.

Maybe rookie Dennis Dixon will be ready if they happen to need a back up?

Culpepper is horrible... some players age like a fine wine, Culpepper is aging like milk!

In Indy we have Peyton -then Sorgi-then Lorenzan -the QB from Ky who looks like an o lineman -but our last option is Gray -a kid who I thought played great at Jacksonville -everyone always asks why the Colts draft so many offensive linemen then they realize w/out Manning there are no Colts .
i wish the Colts would have signed Antwan Randle-el and let him run wild in the backfield -in case Manning got hurt -that kid was so fun to watch at IU-I mean -WTH , we are doomed if Peyton goes down -why not have some fun in a worst case scenario ?

Culpepper never really recovered after his knee went bad. Hell he couldn't make it with the Dolphins or the Raiders that says really how far he has dropped.

Jared Lorenzen, aka... "The Pillsbury Throwboy" LOL.

As a Browns fan, I will look forward to seeing any Pittsburgh QB get knocked around by Kameron Wimbley.

Culpepper had a strong arm (Maybe he still does). What he lacked even when he was successful was the ability to A) Read a defense B) Throw a "touch" pass C) Make it through a game without a fumble.

Now that Culpepper has a bad knee is also lacks mobility. He's a disaster waiting to happen for any team that picks him up.
