I have been waiting for this kid to get signed for some time. He should have been in the last TUF instead of Dante Rivera. He would have been a great fight with CB. Have you guys ever seen this kid wrestle? He was pretty slick.

I have personal ties to him and Frankie Edgar, and have known them for quite some time. Massenzio defeated Willie Parks and Halsey to win the senior National tournament. We were there on the floor with him during his semifinal match against Parks. The kid had the talent to be a 4x AA in D1 if he stuck with it. He continues to train, and has very good boxing skills. He is almost as head strong as Edgar, who is as mentally tough as they come. I think Massenzio will beat Mcfredries, even though mcfredries has looked impressive lately. I am very excited and hopefully between him and Frankie, I can get hooked up with tickets.

How old is he? I know about Edgar and your cousin, is he around that age too?

So your cousin is much younger than you are? I was assuming he was only a little younger than you.

I don't follow NJ wrestling like I used to, so I only know of certain big names now. I know the big names of the kids since my guys wrestle some of them over the summer.

My cousin Willy is 32 and is the head coach at hudson Catholic. Dave is about 25-26 and is the head coach at St Mary's.

No wonder St Marys is so good. I have 2 cousins that went there and both got football scholarships. They weren't good when we wrestled (Clifton was good, especially a few years before us).

I pay slightly more attention to NJ wrestling now, but since my guys have wrestled a lot of state place finishers this summer, I think I'll will know it well in the future. I will continue to practice with the south jersey kids when I can since I know many of the coaches and fathers and I kind of like it that I am not against the kids they wrestle against in the winter.

This fall I may have my guys join the camp the Rappos went to. Lot of good kids, bit of a drive, but they all are when you live in a boxing sity

massenzio is an animal but as a high school kid he was one of the nicest and most polite kids around. i always laugh when i think of how well mannered he was as a kid when he crushes someone in a match or fight.
