I think 1 out of 10 could be possible.
He could cut Fedor and have stoppage that way, but no knockout or submission would be realistic at this point (if he did knockout a Top 205 pounder, then this statement will change a little bit).

I think Liddell has a much better shot at Fedor than Anderson would.
"All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become."
Fedor cutting to 205 or 215, would no longer be the Fedor we're discussing. No telling if he could make the weight, or how he would fight if he were to make it. Look at how Brandon Vera fought after gettig to 205, totally lathargic and unable to get anything going against an opponent he should have destroyed.
Fedor at 230 or so is the guy that all others are measured against. Could Silva so it? Could he beat Fedor when only one or two others have been able to do it, and no one in recent memory? It all depends on the Fedor strategy. If he chooses to stand with Silva and shoot it out anything can happen. If Fedor is able to clinch and get the fight to the ground, he wins 10/10 times.
What is really telling in this topic, is that we are discussing if Anderson Silva, a 185 pounder, could beat the top ranked fighter on the planet, 2 weight classes up. Head to head, who knows? P4P, Silva no doubt.
Adolf, I'm not sure whom you're referring to when you say 'one or two others' have beaten Fedor. No one has beaten Fedor, whereas also-rans Takase, Azeredo and Chonan have all beaten Silva, with the former two submitting the Spider.
We are only discussing this b/c of the principle of recency. Silva looked great in destroying a possible top-20 to 25 205, but Fedor annihilated a legit top HWT contender (a much, much bigger fighter than Fedor) even faster and probably more impressively.
P4P, Fedor. H2H, Fedor by murder.

Many people believe Arona won that fight.
Hahaha, ok, we're taking wins away from people b/c some people thought the fight was close. I'm going to have to get out my magnifying glass and go over a lot of fighters' resumes to determine who has had some close wins. They will be changed to losses.
Also, if we're going to include the loss (which has been pretty well documented not to be a loss) to TK, then we absolutely must include Silva's loss to Okami, giving him 3 losses in the past 5 yrs roughly. You are making my argument for me and I appreciate it. Kudos to the skilled man from the West Coast.
