Nice pair of signings, and a sign of more IFL fighters possibly making the move over as a result of the UFC possibly acquiring the IFL.

Dan is the IFL middleweight champion, and is 8-1 for his career. Jim is 11-1 (with his only loss being to Frankie Edgar) and I've read is rumored to be on this coming season of The Ultimate Fighter which doesn't make a ton of sense with the announcement, but whatever.

Jim also was a wrestler at Virginia Tech

First I've heard of the UFC acquiring the UFC. Not sure of their motives since many of these guys are already available. Perhaps they will just buy select assets to get the fighters they want by buying their contracts, and buying the rights to the old footage so no one else can use it to promote future events.

Seems to be the UFC strategy...

The possibility UFC acquiring the IFL has been floating around for at least a week if not more. It looks like they are indeed trying to acquire certain fighters and the video as well.

I am a fan of the Millers so I'm happy to see them in UFC.

I also had heard that Jim Miller was trying out for TUF 8, but I think he didn't make the cut during the fights you have to win to make it into the house. But that was something I heard on Sherdog, and that information is usually not reliable at all.

The IFL is not Pride of course, but its obvious they are willing to pay money to put the final nail in the coffin of competitors and to keep footage away from others.

Anyone notice that Affliction showed footage from Bushido? Odd that they were able to do that.

    Thanks DH.

IMO the most interesting fighters in the UFC include Vlad Mat (doubt the UFC brings him back), Jamal Patterson, Ryan Schultz (one of my favorite fighters), Chris Horedecki, Jay Hieron (doubt they bring him back too)

Aside from those mentioned and those already acquired by the UFC (Blackburn, Andy, Markham), the prospect that most excites me is Wagnney Fabiano to the WEC to fight Faber.

Others who could fair well include Roy Nelson at Heavyweight since that division in the UFC is lacking, Matt Horowich at 185, and I also like Devidas Taurosevecias at 155.

Horowich is one of my favorites too. Another guy the UFC could consider bringing back is Benji Radach, but I'm not sure they are interested in bringing former guys back. He was doing really well against Sherk until the fight was stopped due to a cut

Agree with DH about Deividas. I've always been a fan of Delson Heleno, too. CL--I think Radach has a ton of potential and his fights are always exciting.
    I heart Jazzy B. White.
