Next time they should cut out Megadeth or have them fight while they play.

I didn't know the details on those two not fighting - it was the fault of Affliction? Terrible if so and they trained and showed up. I don't know any of the details - do tell if you know them

MMAjunkie.com has recieved reports that this bout was cancelled due to time contraints. Both fighters were reportedly paid their show money, an half of their win bonuses.

Its terrible they couldn't fight for that reason. Those were low pay days too, but other than that the base plus half of your win bonus was an attempt to be fair from that perspective

I hold organizations who lose money to a different standard than those who make money (the UFC makes a lot of money, the fighters helped build that company, and many of the fighters were there before Dana and the brothers), but in light of all the money being thrown around here, there is no reason not to be more generous to these guys.

Pimach - I initially thought AA got $750 including $250g, but then I added the numbers up. The win bonuses are in addition to get to $3.3m

    Wow

I'm willing to bet Fedor got his rubles in a black garbage or duffle bag.

Tim's stock really dropped; very short fight and failed to get any offense going. Affliction needs UFC-like PPV buys to afford guys like Tim as a second tier fighter. Would like to see him against Barnett. The GP is messed up anyways with out Aleks, I guess you give Fedor either AA or Barnett, but since AA fought Paul B before, perhaps AA-Fedor and that should set up a Fedor-Barnett fight (I think AA is capable of winning if he is mentally strong through)
LoL @ you guys. You can't have it both ways. Fedor made $300k base pay and that's it. Lets not speculate what other monies he may or may nt have received, lets just go off of base pay, lke you like to do with the UFC. Fedor made $300k, that's less than 10% of the total pyout. Absolutely shameful! I will not support this organization with payouts like that. They take care of their buddies (Arlovski, Sylvia) while the rest of the guys suffer. Dispicable.

Adolf, we know a few guys in the UFC get a share of PPV, but very few. And although they don't disclose the fight of the night and KO/submission bonuses, Dana tells them to us.

UFC has a standard contract for almost everyone, while Fedor's situation is very secretive with M-1 and everything. The UFC said he offered them a million fight (or something), so I can't imagine him fighting for less than that.

I think you might be a little confused here, Adolf. I haven't seen anyone lose any sleep or cry any tears about what the top tier fighters make. That hasn't been the case for many, many years.

I think what concerns people like myself and cl, as fans, is that the UFC, a billion dollar entity according to Jazzwell Boxington White, pays guys who aren't established stars next to nothing.

Also, to be fair, you didn't support the organization before the payouts were revealed. You said you wouldn't buy the PPV. Something about loyalty to some executive who is a multi-millionaire. I have to confess that it's confusing to me as a fan to see someone who is a fan of an executive more than the sport.
    I heart Jazzy B. White.

My view is the same as Dingos. I'm not upset with what Tito makes; he makes a ton. I just think he should be able to negotiate like a professional for what he is worth. And I think the UFC should pay more for the guys they want, not just tell them the other org will go out of business and then do everything they can to put that org out of business.

Dana makes it personal when you don't take his dictated terms. I am offended and have always been offended at the amounts the small name guys make.

And "both ways" applies to the perpetual Dana supporters too. The ones who state endlessly that the little guys, are, in fact, over paid because they assume no one buys their fights on ufc.tv and no one attends events to watch them and they only sold one PPV - to mom.

In that case, everything is attributable to the guys at the top of the card, who can add millions in revenue. But when that argument is applied to Franklin or Sherk, we are told to hold on. Dana will take care of them when their contract is renewed.

Truth is, mma fans enjoy the whole card, boxing is the sport where people only care about the main event.

I broke down and bought the pay per view at the last minute. I couldn't just leave Donald Trump and Affliction to suffer, while Dana White makes all the money. I figured I would follow my message board-mates and give them my money as well, in hopes of them not going under and losing an alternative to the UFC. I am so loyal to Dana White, thaqt I ordered several of the unaired fights from UFC.tv in order to balance things out. I even had Detlef pull a tv from a guest room and we ran 4 TV's, 3 with Affliction nd 1 with the UFC replay.

It saddens me greatly Matt Lindland out earns Fedor in the so called greatest card in MMA history. Good for Mr. Lindland, but Booooooooo Affliction for their treatment of P4P top 3 fighter in the world, Fedor. And don't get smart with me Claudale!
