    Default The Affliction Ring

Personally I liked the Affliction Ring as a result and evident on all the fights, the Big and Huge Affliction Ring really generated a lot of Action for Standups.Subs and GNP, as it create more room for Actions you could see fighters having more room to show their stuffs, lot of trading punches and lot of manuevering

Only change I would make would be to make it impossible for the fighters to fall through the ropes. It was stupid that they didn't have a mat around the outer edge.. Just asking for an injury...Size of the ring is awesome but it needs to be caged

agreed- They should have something on the outside, especially since there several fighters falling out.

For the first time since I began watching MMA (UFC II) I liked the idea of having the fights take place in a ring. The size made all the difference in the world.

Just put netting inbetween the ropes. Problem solved.

The Ropes are the Problem not the Ring, they should have put a DREAM or a PRIDE type of rope, a Tight Rope, they would put it next event for sure

Or have guys waiting there to keep them from falling out or grabbing onto the ropes, kinda like Pride used to do. or at least tighten up the ropes.

I never like the ring, the cage is jsut a better fighting environment, IMO. It's more realistic, and it doesn't interfere with the fight as much. You can't fall out of the cage. You can't fall through the links of a cage. You can't go under the bottom links of a cage and use it to defend yourself from strikes.

The only problem with the cage is the viewing aspect, at least in a live setting. The ring provides a much better viewing experience.
