I agree wholeheartedly. I felt like they gave Serra the decision as a reward for footstomps. Although it was an ugly fight, I felt like Lytle won all 3 rounds.
    I heart Jazzy B. White.

But at the same time, he was just paid $14g for his 17th fight with them after winning a few fight of the night type bonuses. Some people here argue the UFC really rewards veterans. That isn't a great payday, sorry
CL these are the type of guys I get upset about the low pay. The guys that have proven they are legit fighters, have built up a fan base, and have fought many times in the big show.

Cool PJ, you've been picking up credibility in my eyes.

Will be interesting to see what he makes going forward. I'd also like to see what Franklin is making, I think he is under a new contract now too.

Rich made 45 g's when Anderson knocked his block off back in October, so going with the usual standard win bonus doubling the salary he probably picked up 90 grand for beating Lutter.

The Canadian commission didn't release the salaries for 83, I'm just assuming.

You are exactly right with what you said Jensen about $45 and Canada, but he had an old interview with the wrestlingobserver (kind of talked about signing a long term contract that didn't pay great for a champ).

That contract would have expired around the time of the Silva fight from what he said. So I'm not sure if that was the last of his old, or the first of his new. I think its possible that he was paid much more for the Lutter fight and I expect to see him with a base pay of $100g or more the next time its disclosed.

I think the theoretical 45/45 is on the new contract as he picked up 21 to show and 21 more to win when he beat MacDonald at 68. Which I think, but I'm not positive was his actual last fight on the old deal.

I think Franklin easily deserves to be getting close to six figures just to show, he is a very popular fighter as well as being one of the best fighters in the world.

Maybe you are right then, which is disappointing in light of all the big name shows he headlined for very little.

UFC contracts always pay more each fight under the contract, so Lutter might have been $50g+$50g and next time he might be $55 with a chance of getting another $55

Brother $14g for a fight when you are 4-8 in the UFC, with a chance to win $28k if you just beat you ropponent is low pay? You guys must make a lot of money if you think that's low.

Lytle is a full time fire fighter and every 3 months or so he adds an additional $14 k to his income, via another UFC loss. How can anyone possibly think that's unfair?

I have to agree with JensenS, Kudos to Dana White for bringing a guy back that's a great guy and a hard worker, but never going to be a star. We know he doesn't do it out of fan popularity, otherwise Tito Ortiz would have never been let go.
