I always believe in erring on the side of caution. The reward far outweighs the risk.

| Olympic Champ | Cauliflower ear exploding =/= rearranging facial structure.

Any way you word it ZApp, Kimbo rocked Thompson with some big shots and the ear exploded, just as the big man began to wobble. If not then, when do you stop a fighter who has already previously been rocked badly in the fight?

2. Rocked badly is a subjective term. He wasn't stumbling, he was hurt. He should have been given the chance.

1.Yes, they gave him a good 10 seconds or so to try to survive, before finally mercifully saving him froma further beating. Sounds about right to me. 2.He was stumbling, as a result of being hurt. He was given a chance, earlier in the fight, and he found himself in a world of danger yet again. The ref must determine if the fighter is taking too much damage and if so, save him from further damage or injury. We've disagreed in the past, on if the referee should determine if a fighter is taking damage or not, so this may be a case of just needing to agree to disagree. | |

| Olympic Champ | No, he didn't. An ear is no part of your facial structure. And it wasn't rearranged. Rich Franklin's nose was rearranged.

So a broken nose is something special and an exploded ear is not. Interesting theory....
