Default Vera: Henderson, Silva and Sokoudjou turned down July 19 fight

Brandon Vera said Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou all turned down a July 19 fight with him, and after he turned declined a fight with Lyoto Machida, the UFC ultimately offered him UFC newcomer Reese Andy. In a recent interview with MMAjunkie.com, Vera confirmed that he turned down a UFC Fight Night 14 bout with Machida because he felt he needed more training time. And though he wouldn't tell us which opponents turned down the fight with him, Vera finally spilled the beans to baltimoresun.com.

    I call BS on Vera
I am ussually a huge fan of Vera but he is full of s***
I know for a fact that Thierry was not offered this fight-thus never turning it down...

All of them are in a different weight class, 2 are now 185 pounders.

& they all have lost within their last 2 matches, I could see them not wanting to take on a bigger guy on short notice. 3 strait loses for Dan would be bad

This show was pieced together late for sinister reasons anyways. Established guys in the UFC are used to getting adequate notice for fights anyways.

I think Wand is headed there, right?

I can't imagine why he'd head down after brutally knocking out Jardine.

JB White has all but put the kabosh on Wanderlei going down to 185. Something to the effect of "i can only think of one compelling fight @ 185, whereas there are many compelling fights @ 205". It's true speaking of right here and right now, but I feel like it's important to rebuild the cleaned out 185 division and Silva's presence there would be huge.
    I heart Jazzy B. White.

It makes no sense to say that they turned the fight down, yet his quote is that they offered him the fight with those guys, so was it really Vera that turned it down?
