Interesting that he would get back into the Octagon so quickly. If he could fight in July, why note June? Also, they're going to put CB back in there this quickly - just one month after his last fight? I realize that fight barely made either guy break a sweat, but I assume he had a pretty intense camp - both physically & mentally - preparing for the finale and don't see how he can fight again in a month.

Re: Welcome Back JT Money
I don't see why people can't fight a month after they fight. Training for MMA is probably a little bit more of a full-time thing than college wrestling I guess, but it amazes me that people supposedly need 3+ months off after a 3 minutes fight. It seems like 1 month would be sufficient recovery time after a fight assuming you don't break any bones or anything.
"Now class, I'd like for you to transition from downward dog....straight to FULL BRING!!!"

I dont know. Part of it is the commissions.. they can clear people to fight again as soon as I think 3 days.. just they want to be safe. [shrugs] I hate the commissions.. I think they are the most corrupt thing in sports besides the boxing orgs.
I'm still pushing for Jesse to fight Jeremy May.

Re: Welcome Back JT Money
I understand what you're saying, but you need to ramp up the intensity for fight time. Then scale back after the fight, and begin to ramp up again. It's not just the physical toll of that but the mental one, especially for someone on The Ultimate Fighter who is in the finale and under that pressure. They're not used to that. And, if CB were to lose to Jesse, I think people might start saying he didn't have ample time (whether that's right or wrong, you'd probably be hearing it).

Yep. And I'd show them Travis Fulton or Jeremy Horn's records. That'll shut them the hell right up.

Re: Welcome Back JT Money
Those two guys have a ton of fights obviously, but they are not UFC fights, where if you lose a couple in a row, you get cut.

Re: Welcome Back JT Money
I just see fighting in the TUF Finale as being similar to fighting in a title fight for guys like Amir & CB. At this point in their careers, it's a whole different stage & experience. Title fighters wouldn't be expected to come back & fight one month later.

They are more of the exception then the rule, especially for high level fighters fighting in big orgs.
