Gerald is scheduled to fight Nissen Osterneck on Sept 12 in Amarillo, TX, under the Shark Fights org. Nissen has fought in the WEC & UFC - losing to Jake Rosholt in the WEC, after having Jake rocked pretty bad, and to Jorge Rivera in the UFC. He's 6-2 with 2 victories by (T)KO and 4 by submission.

Hey guys, sorry I've been out of touch but I've been going through a lot lately. I had a great training camp and a lot of pressure going into this fight. Many of you may know that I lost my oldest brother in March - 7 days before I fought then attended the funeral the following day. That was very hard and I took a little time off to recover from the stress -
Well..........I got a phone call with a career changing opportunity! A title fight against Nissen Osterneck who's a former UFC and WEC veteran. I was excited about the fight until they told me the date.
    September 12th
This just happens to be my brothers birthday of all days to fight!!!! So, I went into "Rocky" mode. I grew a big crusty beard, locked myself into a little apartment and trained like a madman. I didn't overtrain, but I was in the best shape of my life. I went to almost every gym in Oklahoma along with 6 days a week of personal training in each aspect of mma.
It all paid off Saturday night with a big KO of a game opponent. I dedicated the victory to my brother as a birthday gift..........

    Thanks for the support!
