Review of the event from Submit To MMA:

On March 29, 2008 EliteXC and Strikeforce got together to bring MMA fans a show with a headliner that literally made you stop to take a look. We’re talking about Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le. So how would an MMA legend like Shamrock do against a fighter that has never lost during his professional career?


That’s what Submit To MMA aims to tell you in our own unique style.

The Main Event : Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le

The first round was about Shamrock stalking Le and hitting home every now and then, especially at the end of the stanza. However, for the majority of the stanza Le connected with the harder shots, particularly kicks to the head and body. Shamrock almost got a full fledged takedown, but still give the round to Le.

The second round also went to Le, this time more forcefully. Le landed several hard side kicks to his opponent’s midsection and a right hand that caused Shamrock to sway.
What a third round!

this fight was so good!!! Either of these guys would be a great challenge for Anderson.

I would love to see an Anderson Silva Cung Le bout. Talk about technical striking!

Cung Le Looked Awesome!! He Was Picking Shamrock Apart, But I Do Think Shamrock Made The Mistake Of Not Staying On Him The One Time That He Had The Chance To Take Him Down, Gtanted They Were Standing,but Shamrock Had His Back And Could Have Taken Him Back To The Ground And Done Some Damage, My Opinion Frank Said He Was Going To Stand And Bang With Cung Le And Stayed With That Even Though He Was Clearly Out Matched In The Stand-up Game. That Being Said I Enjoyed Every Minute Of It, Cung Le Put On A Clinic, And I Would Like To A Re-match, As Far As Cung Le Vs. Silva That Would Be A Very Interesting Bout But In My Opinion I Think Silva Would Get Le On The Gtound And Submit Him.
