    1. You don't HAVE to pay for it, there are ways to watch them for free while still at home.

    2. I pay anyway, because I support sports I love.

    3. Second rate? Mirko Cro Cop was 1-2, Shogun Rua got tooled and finished, Nogueira was battered for two rounds before he finally got Sylvia to the ground...Seems pretty even to me.

I always get it for free, i don't think i'd pay for UFC, not worth it, you must be really stupid to pay for it if you can get it for free.

Yes the UFC is second rate, when i watch it, i feel like i am watching nothing, when i watch pride i felt like i was watching the olympics.
Perhaps it is because Pride had the best from around the world, whereas the UFC just has trailer trash from a reality tv show.

Yes, perhaps it's that...or perhaps it's because you're an anti-American basher? Weird how some of those "second rate fighters" from that "second rate org" are able to compete with and beat down some of Pride's superstars.

vak attack, i don't agree with that concept.

Pride fighters dominate the UFC, MW, LHW and HW champs are all pride fighters... lets keep in mind, pride had no WW and UFC did not take on any of the lightweights from pride.
I think if this was the case, there'd be a good chance of a pride LW champ, although Penn is good.

Nope, not Anti-America you are very pro-American/jingoistic, hence your dislike for pride and a delusional belief UFC is better and does the right thing. UFC bought and liquidated Pride, it is a shame.

How come Arlovski was on the undercard?

We have jingoistic people on this board. VakAttack is not one of them.

Arlovski was on the undercard because it was his last fight with the UFC and he's made it pretty well known that he will not be signing another contract with Zuffa. He was also not granted a post-fight interview. A pretty short-sighted petty move by the UFC, in my opinion.

Of course, if you would have read my "weak" blog, you would have already known that. I guess you were just focusing in on my fashion commentary.

What a shock that you don't agree. Pride fighters dominate the UFC? What happened to Shogun(0-1 in the UFC)? Wandy(1-3 in the UFC)? Mirko (1-2 in the UFC)? Those fights just didn't happen, now?

I happen to like Pride very much, but I always have felt that the UFC fighters and their Pride counterparts were on the same level, and the results bear that out. Nick Diaz over Tak Gomi, anybody? How many times does Gomi have to lose before he loses that belt? Sean Sherk and BJ Penn would both have been the Pride champion if they had competed there. Not to mention a lot of the Pride LW's would be fighting at Welterweight anyways, because they can't make 155.

Not to mention that some of the greatest Pride champions were "really" UFC fighters.

Sakuraba: Fought in the UFC first

Wanderlei Silva: FOught in the UFC first

Dan Henderson: Fought in the UFC first

If we're going to count Anderson Silva and Rampage Jackson as "Pride fighters" because they fought there first, then these 3 Pride legends are all UFC fighters, because they started there. Not to mention Mark Coleman, the first Pride GP champion, came over from the UFC ON A 3 FIGHT LOSING STREAK and won the Pride GP.

Without a TV exposure it will be a nonfactor for the majority of US fans.
I believe that Mark Cuban had posted on Sherdog saying that he was trying to get it on HDnet but thus far, I don't think there are any definite arrangements.

At least he's not a word makerupper...

For someone who claims to be so smart, and from such an advanced country I'd have thought you'd have known the word was "apologist."

Not surprisingly, your arguments aren't much better than your grammar.

vak attack, i think you have just explained why this whole concept of who is better by which fighters beat who is stupid. You brought this stupid argument up, i played devil's advocate and in the end we have proven nothing.
The fights that were made, the production, the excitement, the amount of fights and the range of fighters were on a much higher level in Pride and it was a much better show.

    Jensens, everyone makes mistake's, chill.

bluestater, you have a very nice blog i was just teasing you earlier.
