I think they'll all stay the same, with the possible exception of 205.

Definite possibility. Already rumors that Penn is comtemplating retirement, even if he fights again I wonder how motivated he will be to fight at 155.

I think he'll take some time off, and then do at least one more fight. Someone on Bloody Elbow said that he posted on his Facebook that he wanted KenFlo in June. Since going to 155 essentially forces BJ to get in shape, I don't think there's anybody at 155 talented enough to beat him right now. If Kenny keeps improving, maybe, but the Kenny I saw in his last fight, as good as he looks, doesn't beat 155 lb BJ Penn. I think 205 PROBABLY changes hands, but I don't know who's gonna even get a shot. If I had to guess right now, I'd say Rampage is agan our 205 lb champ by the end of the year, but it could just as easily be Rashad, Machida, or Forrest in my opinion. Those guys are the best guys in the division.

I guess Diego is a possibility if Penn quits and Penn said he just wants big name fights (may not think anyone else at 155 qualifies).

I think Edgar and Sherk could beat Diego and probably Florian now too.

At 170, I think Alves can do it. Of course if GSP takes him down he'll lose, but he has been hard to take down recently with good strikes.

185 - Bisping. JK. I think Dan could possibly win a rematch, Maia is too one dimensional, I don't think he could beat someone like Franklin (not sure of his future weight class) or Marquart.

205 - Lyoto probably is the best, but I could see Rampage winning that possibly. Not sure when he'll get his chance.

Hwt - UFC is pretty thin looking at Hwt again, so Brock

I picked Maia assuming he gets a title shot at the end of the year against Silva. I think eventually Silva will lose to a grappler.

I actually think Maias wrestling is pretty decent. In his first fight in the UFC he shot in on a nice single leg and his positioning was correct, as soon as he was in on the shot he ran the pipe. He also had no difficulty getting Quarry to the ground who supposedly has decent takedown defense. Against a bigger guy like Franklin or Marquardt he would have trouble though.

I think Diego would be a little to big for Edgar and he is also very slick on the ground but that would be a great fight. I would like to see all of the guys you mentioned matched up against each other.

Ok, if you are just saying Maia pulls the upset and the year ends, I think that's possible. I don't see him defending it for a long time.

Edgar is the better wrestler and he has yet to be submitted. His standup is decent too. I think he might be able to beat Sherk if he turns it into mainly a boxing match, I have to think everyone has more reach than Sherk does. Gray Maynard is another interesting one at this weight. The best wrestling at 155 and who knows how his submission defense has developed

Diego will have a significant size advantage and he is a very good grappler. I cant see Edgar controlling him from the top and I think Edgar would struggle if Diego got on top of him. I dont think Diego would submit him but I think he could do some damage with gnp.

Edgars standup is more technical but Sanchez has some power in his strikes.

I think Maynard will cause problems for almost anyone. Its a division full of grapplers and Maynard is the biggest stronges best wrestler. Not a whole lot of guys in the division are dangerous off their back so I think he would be fine for the most part.
