One thing about this fight is it should quiet the decent-sized contingent of MMA fans (not necessarily from this board) that Rich Franklin wasn't truly a top fighter, he was a creation of the ZUFFA machine and would have gotten smashed had he fought in Pride, etc. Rich Franklin is a very good fighter, he just got edged out by another very good fighter.

    PJ - I don't know about you.

You were cheering for Franklin over a guy who represented the US in 2 Olympic games for wrestling?

I guess nothing should surprise me, you are the only wrestler I know who cheered for Bisping over Hamill. Probably chanting "Olay, Olay, Olay, Olay" with the crowd when you watched that tape-delayed fight.

Lol I like Henderson but Franklin just happens to be one of my favorite. I dont always blindly root for a guy just because he competed in the same sport as me.

I didnt even know who you root for. You always seem to be unhappy and complaining about upcoming fights so I assumed you didnt have any favorite fighters.

Ha Ha Ha! Claudale very astutely points out what most likely was the scene at the p jersey home, during the match up.

Up to your old tricks; always ready to say to me "why do you watch it when you don't like it" when I've never said I don't like it. I complimented this card, remember? I also said the new years card, like last new years card, was insane. I've always been a big fan of wrestlers, especially those doing it pre TUF when it was less about $ (not that I fault anyone for trying to make money on it, just hate seeing US wrestling lose guys like Askren at such a young age)

That would literally be the same as me saying you don't like Affliction, because you are so into the UFC. I know you've never said that, but I could turn your words against you - especially old comments around the time of the Pride purchase. (it would be easier to turn Adolf's words against him, since he originally was having a party around the free UFC airing at the same time as the Affliction debut)

Whoa someone took that personal. I just hear you always criticizing cards saying there arent many fights you are interested in. It has nothing to do with UFC or any other org just that you never seem to enjoy anything. I just assumed it was standard that once you reach 40 you develop a negative attitude. Every time I talk to old guys about sports they are complaining so I just figured that was your case as well. I am pretty sure thecobra has recently turned 40 or maybe 41 and he seems to be pretty negative as well.

PJ - neither Cobra nor myself have reached 40 yet.

You've heard me compliment cards and put down cards. You can't pretend that the last card in Ireland (Belfast) was anything close to this card. I also like it now that the UFC is giving us some Pride rematches - Coleman-Shogun and Wand-Rampage. Of course they missed giving us possibly a rematch of possibly the best Pride fight ever, Nog - CC. Of course both have declined recently and Nog couldn't handle Mir's jabs, I doubt he could eat more CC kicks.

Ah, to be forty again, what a wonderful period of my life that was. PJ, we can only hope that you will have matured by then, (and that there is a cure for shortness).
    Lets go Brent!
