Canadian Freestyle Wrestling national Team. Freestyle is different to Follkstyle! 99% of american wrestlers in MMA have folkstyle wrestling background. American wrestlers are not the best in the world (see olympic ranking).

Freestyle is different than freestyle also. FILA changes the rules every few years, so much so, that the sport doesn't even resemble the sport that I wrestled in. Push out rule? Clinch? 3, 2 minute periods? What is this sport that they're passing off as freestyle wrestling???

And FYI, just about every single American folkstyle wrestler that competes in MMA has a freestyle back ground. Many have a greco background as well.

Adolf - was on the go all weekend. Went to a tri meet in PA on Saturday morning early, and then another trimeet in NJ later than day. The next day, I was in PJ-country at a tournament that was very behind schedule. So I didn't watch the PPV of affliction until late last night and I still haven't seen the HDnet portion.

I did call that wrong and if the lines hadn't tightened up, I would have lost $ too.

I just watched that fight last night. What was Vlad thinking? Didn't attempt a single takedown? He's never been submitted and just hammered Jamal Patterson on top in a fight he was losing up until that point. Looks like he quit too, covered up, went down and then sat there catching his breath.

No I dont think you lost to Nickerson, he's a couple of weight classes heavier than you.

Just a quick correction ... it's Chenango Forks.

MetsFan, thank you for pointing that out. Nicholson is one of my favorite wrestlers in division 1 college and I should at least know where he's actually from.

We haven't exchanges much dialogue here on the boards lately, how's life treating you?
