IF he beats all those guys, I still dont think hes #2, because realistically only two of those named are legit top ten fighters. I think we both know the bulk of the best hwts are not in the UFC

I have Randy, Gonzaga, and Mir in the top ten. Overall the heavyweight division is pretty thin.

Top fighters outside of the UFC:
    Fedor- the man
Arlovski- He wont drop to far after being submitted Fedor but he does need some more big wins.
Barnett- great fighter and perhaps fedors toughest challenge
Oveereem- has looked like a beast but also looks like an extremely juiced up beast. He has said he is thinking about signing with the ufc.
Kharitonov- has some great talent but has not lived up to the last couple of years
Sylvia- is 1-3 in his last four fights. Granted he has fought top comp but needs to get back on the winning track against a quality opponent.
Aleks Emelianko- Has the talent but is inconsistent and cant get a fight in the US due to potentially have hepatitis.

Basically I see a lot of guys with question marks and concerns.

I dont have Gonzaga as top ten but is close 11 or 12, just needs to fight a tougher opponent and will get it in Carwin for his next fight.

other than that I agree with those guys you put up and outside of Fedor, AA and Barnett the question marks are legit. Nog is still around but is a big question mark after the Mir beating he took, was it the staph he allegedly had or is he really done?

I don't think Nog has looked good in any of his 3 UFC fights despite winning 2 of them. I think his last loss had more to do with a poor performance by him than a strong performance by Mir. The guy who had the strongest chin in the sport couldn't handle Mir's jabs.

PJ - I agree about Overeem. Probably juicing and one of the top guys. He's given everyone problems and now he seems better than ever.

If AA's head is right, I give him a better chance against Fedor than you do. Other than having a soft chin, he matches up really well against Fedor. But I think the problems he had early in his last fight will allow Fedor to come up with a strong gameplan.

I like Arlovski and think he is a good fighter but he doesnt seem to meld all his skills together. I know he has some pretty good ground skills, and he obviously is a good boxer but they seem like seperate entities and not skills that flow together and complement each other. I like watching Fedor because he flows from one area to the next so easily even if his technique isnt as pretty as others.

I think within his comfort zone Arlovski is as dangerous as they come but if he gets taken out of that comfort zone he can seem like a fish out of water. He has really nice boxing but I can see Fedor putting a lot of pressure on Arlovski and flustering him and once that happens I think Fedor will try to take it to the ground. It was a bit of a concern to see Roy Nelson get side control so easily on Arlovski and I think a more dangerous fighter like Arlovski will make him pay.

Of course the x factor is that Arlovski can land one punch and it could be over.

I don't think his mental skills and ability to put together a solid game plan match Fedor's, but I don't think Fedor will take him down without hurting him standing first.
