Jon Fitch lost his first fight and was 2-2 after his first 4 fights so not necessarily.

Fitch was coming from nowhere, whereas Askren is a college wrestling legend and an Olympian... Hard for me to imagine that it makes sense for him to struggle through a rough beginning like that.

Too bad they've probably already cast TUF for next year and will now only be doing 1 season a year from now on. He'd be a perfect candidate to make a star out of on TUF. Give him a way to get into UFC without being thrown to the wolves right away.
