There are only three guys that are guaranteed draws in the UFC regardless of opponent. They are Lesnar, Couture, and Liddell put two of them together and you will get big numbers.

Well then you are making my point for me. I'm the one who mentioned part of the reason it wouldn't do huge buys is because the over seas cards are free on spike. You then countered with not all of them and said it would do Big pay per views. Now you've distanced yourself from that statement by saying it would do big numbers (as in ratings). Here, I'll cut and paste for you so you don't have to go back and look on the other blog

Adolf said: LoL @ it willl sell big. None of the over seas fights sell big, as a matter of fact, they show them on spike for free.

P Jersey countered with: Lol no they don't show them all for free and I don't expect this one to be either.

Hmmm... Is that foot in mouth, or what do we call that there young PJ? I'm sure you have a different term in New Jersey for that than what we have back in the Old Country and it's merely a misunderstanding on my part.

I'll go ahead and let you off the hook as I haven't seen this much back peddling in quite some time, but just don't ever tell us again that Randy/Chuck IV would do Big pay per view numbers in Germany, during the middle of the day. At least tell me something logical, like the Eagles will one day finally win a Super Bowl. Maybe not in any of our life times, but one day, some day.

How am I backpedaling? I gave you the numbers I thought it would get and I stuck to the claim that it would sell big.

Again I mentioned the spike portion as not all the shows have been ppv in the past. My opinion was that it would be a ppv but obviously my opinion does not dictate the UFCs actions. If this fight were to happen I would fully expect it to be a ppv but obviously the UFC could have gone with the option of having it on spike as they did with shamrock/ortiz 3 when it reached the highest ratings ever.

Again I have changed nothing about my original opinion. I would not be interested in the fight but I believe it would have sold big on ppv. I also believe it would have created a way to get Liddell back into a relevant title fight by ko'ing randy setting up another huge fight with Lesnar.

Also you and claudale have stated that past UFC ppvs have done poorly so this one would as well. This would be incorrect to assume this as the ortiz/shamrock 3 shows. Most UFN main events do about 2 to 3 million viewers but Shamrock/Ortiz did 9 million. You said anyone could bring in big ratings on free tv even mentioning Kimbo but the numbers clearly show that is not true. Typical ufn main events are guys who are not well known or popular with the average fan thus the lower numbers.

As I mentioned in both threads regarding couture vs. liddell the past main events for international ppvs have been weak and have lacked big name fighters. Now add in two of the three biggest draws in the UFC and put them on the ppv and they will blow away the previous international ppv numbers similar to Ortiz and Shamrock blowing away previous UFNs.

The word I'm hearing is that Noguiera is going to win. No injuries to Mir, forget the broken hand rumor, he's fine. Mir is training hard and taking this fight very seriously, but those in the know seem to believe mino is going to win.

Adolf what are the people in the know saying about Kongo. He is facing a guy who is a bad style match up. If kongo ever wants contend in the UFC he needs to get some wrestling.

Hopefully all those british wrestling studs at wolfslair have been helping him.
