    Default Askren's first two fights confirmed

    Columbia, MO on Feb. 7 in the Headhunters Fight League

    second will be in Miami on Feb 26... fighting 170 in both shows.

    I dont know why Dana didnt sign this dude, a NCAA champ AND an Olympian, he should get a title shot based upon his accomplishments

    That doesn't mean he knows how to fight. Everyone has to get a few fights under his belt first. Plus, if he gets a few fights in and is impressive, he'll get a better contract then if he just came in as a wrestler. I'm not saying this to downplay Ben but it would be really stupid for him to start his fighting career in the UFC.

    I think Pimach is making fun of the fact that Lesnar was brought right in after only 2 years of training and a WWF world title. Difference is Lesnar demolished the championon his first try. I can't see Askren winning any fights in the UFC at this point, maybe I'm wrong.

    Askren should need some easy fights to get used to MMA. I remember reading that Brock trained MMA for a whole year before his first fight.

    I hope Ben was training MMA on the side when he should have been 100% focused on Freestyle.
