Ha ha, it must not be so bad if these guys seem to accept any terms just to be able to stick around the UFC. But why, you ask? Because its the best fuking thing going and if these guys want to be famous, get pu$$y like rockstars, and get rich in the process, they aint going to fukken do it outside of the UFC. Half the guys (who aren't college wrestlers) aren't qualified for a counter person position at the local Jack in the box.

So keep it up. Keep boycotting. Hell, don't even watch the fights at all, that will show Dana. Meanwhile, the fighters will continue to beg Dana White to let them fight for peanuts, just let them into the UFC. I'm with Dana White and the fighters on this one. The rest of you can go hug a tree or some thing

Dana got exactly what he wanted for cutting him; Fitch agreed to something he didn't want to agree to and didn't get paid a dime for doing it. It was Dana's way of showing him he could take everything away when he doesn't get what he wants.

Fitch says he isn't being paid anything and has to sign away his video game rights for a lifetime? That's ridiculous. As Fitch said, "why can't we do it for five or 10 years? Why does it have to be a lifetime deal?"

The UFC is run by greedy control freaks.

The UFC is a monopoly plain and simple. That is why they can get away with murder and no one can say anything about it.
I will smash your face into a car windshield and then take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth, out to a nice seafood dinner and never call her again!

Tell me about it, this morning, I woke up and I shit a squirrel, but what I can't get is the damn thing is still alive. So now, I've got a shit covered squirrel running around my office and I don't know what to name it.

At least Fitch is back. It's unlikely that AKA leaving the UFC would've changed UFC policy.

Adolf is right about this; there are no truly greener pastures at this time. Fighting in Japan poses a lot of challenges of its own--some guys like Rampage can thrive with the culture shock and time difference, but it's hard on a lot of guys.

That doesn't change my opinion about JB's business practices one bit. While he definitely has his stable by the sack right now, this stuff builds and foments with fighters and fans. Josh Gross immediately wrote an unfavorable article on CNNSI and it's pretty clear that most UFC fans don't like some of the bullying tactics. I believe more than ever that JB will be the cause of his own ouster at some point. He can't leave well enough alone.

That said, for you, Adolf, I would consider hugging a tree.

Dingo - I have to believe that Dana is not simply acting on his own. Most companies try to keep things private, while Dana always makes things public trying to portrait himself as an in your face fighter at the same time. The Fertittas would have told him to shut up and act professionally, but apparently they think his style helps to make the UFC a brand name.

Many years ago, UFC fans were very loyal and wanted to give them money (since Dana claimed they were losing so much money). Its very different now and a lot of people don't like him/them - fans and fighters alike.

Do you have that article you refer to? Sadly, I think the UFC shut up a lot of their critics after they cut off access for many of them years ago.

Claudale, it's already gone. It wasn't scathing, but just laying out the facts makes JB look pretty bad.

Regarding the Fertittas and JB, I think it's kind of like this. They like that JB puts himself out there. In the short run, he's getting fighters to bend to his will. He does a lot of the dirty work. If he goes too far, it's his as$ and not theirs. I personally believe that Lorenzo got involved to keep a shorter leash on JB.

I dont think AKA standing up to the UFC by itself would cause a major shift but it could have started a domino effect. By them folding to the UFC demands it just strengthened UFCs position and made it less likely that fighters would band together.

Right. They balked, the UFC dumped them and then they complied with what the UFC wanted from the start. All over a damn video game. Unfortunate.
