In a recent interview with MMAScoops.com which we will post here shortly, Brock Lesnar stated that TNA star Kurt Angle and former WWE star Bobby Lashley do not what it takes to compete in the UFC.

Lesnar said, "I am here to represent amateur wrestling and not professional wrestling. Are there other pro wrestlers who can come into UFC like me? Absolutely not. They just don?t have the background that I do. Even top UFC fighters wish they had more wrestling experience in their background."

Brock Lesnar is in MMA only because of pro wrestling, I hope he doesnt ever forget that. it wasnt until this fight that UFC stopped referring to his pro stuff.

He is in the main event and making as much as he is because of his exposure in wwe. His wrestling backgrounf and size would have still made him a hot prospect and a potential success in mma.

Yeah- he definitely isn't only in MMA because of WWE- he is certainly in this position so early because of his success, but his WWE experience didn't help him succeed.

I dont doubt his amateur success and that it has helped him in MMA but WWE accounts for 95% of what he has achieved so far, his recognition, pay, PPV buys, the bull riding antics, even his interviewing skills in playing the bad guy are all due to his pro wrestling career. his amateur wrestling can account for his defeat of Herring. outside of the initial punch and spear on Herring, he rode and controlled him for almost 15 min.
