    thats probably true, but he could still be a contender, one loss doesnt mean your out, in fact, if he follows up with a lackluster win over his next opponenet he can get a title shot.

    That might be why he wasn't willing to take whatever they were offering. He may have felt that he could get back into the title picture quickly and didn't want to be stuck at whatever lower rate the new contract would have called for.
