Lots of stuff in there. Craziness.

I don't think anyone can argue too vehemently against most of what he said. The Shaws were clearly ignorant turds and that's a shame.

However, TJ is upset that he lost his baby to bankruptcy and I think saying “I have no proof [but] I’d be amazed if he wasn’t paid to stand up" is his biggest dig at Elite. I don't buy it for a couple of main reasons. Even dummies like the Shaws wouldn't be so stupid as to formally require him to stand up. How do they enforce it? Denying him his pay and/or bonus? I doubt Petruzelli would do anything "on the Shaw's word" alone. He would have to have something in writing. I have zero doubt that he was encouraged to standup, or at the very least was pressured to 'put on an exciting show', which subtly implies keeping it standing.

Here's another article regarding Elite folding. Did you guys ever hear the bolded part of the quote below? I didn't hear that before myself.

Ken Shamrock, scheduled as the opponent of Slice, got into a money argument with Elite XC officials before the show, and then, to blow off steam, did a training session in which he suffered a cut above his eye that required stitches. When he returned from the hospital, the Florida State Boxing Commission wouldn’t allow him to fight.”

While I'm pretty sure they would've folded anyway, it's almost amazing how much that one cut changed the world for Elite.
