… at UFC 94 – Jan 31 in Las Vegas. Jones stepped in to fight Andre Gusmao on about one week’s notice for UFC 87, won an impressive unanimous decision, and now has a 4 fight deal with the UFC.

Should be a good fight although Bonnar might be a little to experienced and well rounded for Jones at this point.

Was surprised to see this matchup myself. Jones finished his first 5 fights - 4 by T/KO, 1 sub - but has only been fighting since April of this year (fought 3 times in one month) and everyone but Gusmao seems to have been pretty inexperienced themselves. As PJ said, Bonnar is way more experienced. Jones does have standup skill, though, and should have a decided advantage if it goes to the ground.

I was impressed with how aggressive and how creative jones was on his feet. He was throwing everything at Gusmao including back fists and flying kicks, even though most did not land flush he was showing his willingness to open up and exchange on his feet.
