Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.
One, two, Evans is coming for you...
Awesome replacement, but I was really looking forward to Diego taking it to Alves. A TKO win would not have surprised me. I'll have to study the match ups, but should be a very competitive fight. Go Kos.
Lets go Brent!
Big ups to Kos for stepping up, kind of disappointed to see Diego get forced to drop as I was excited to see this fight but this replacement should definitely be solid.
I'm sure Kos is looking for a second shot at GSP so it probably took him about half a second to say yes to this one.
That sucks - I thought this was Diego's big test.
Koscheck can study where Hughes failed, but any fight on 2 weeks notice can be hard. He's taking a risk to put himself into #1 contender status

When cl mentioned 2 weeks notice, I initially thought "Huh?" For some reason, I didn't realize that 89 & 90 were only a week apart. I'd better get that pick 'em thread out there for 90
About the fight ... I too am disappointed that Diego is out as I was looking forward to that fight. Kos / Alves though is a very worthy replacement fight that I'm now looking forward to. Kos was slated to be on the 'Fight for Troops' card in early December. He should be ready but taking this high level a fight on short notice is definitely a risk - although Alves has to re-gameplan making it equal from that standpoint, he was already adjusting training based on his expectation to fight on the 25th - Kos is at a bit of a disadvantage there.
