TUF alums Mike Dolce, War Machine (the fighter formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver), and Gerald Harris will be fighting on October 18 in Mobile, Alabama. Dolce & War Machine will face each other.

I'm a huge fan of Gerald and would love to see him headlining some of these cards, before making it over to the UFC. Like to see him at the very top of his game, before getting thrown into the 185 division in the UFC.

I can see War Machine headlining a smaller event due to more name recognition. However, he has that name recognition from being more of an attention getting personality on his season of TUF and getting a fight in the finale - not because he is a better fighter. I don't think that finale victory shows that War Machine is better just because it was in the UFC. After all, he beat another TUFer (Jared Rollins) in a fight that he was likely about to lose until snatching the victory in the final seconds and then got destroyed in his next UFC bout. If you stack their records up against each other, Harris matches up well and probably gets the edge - although I guess I would agree that you can't necessarily say "much better" although I think he has fought more experienced guys than Machine and had "better losses" than Machine.

Also, although Gerald lost his fight once they got in the house, he did lose to the eventual champion by stoppage late in a fight that most believe he was winning until that point. Plus, he had to win a fight to get into the house - so he did win a fight on the show.

Hotness, I mean Gerald, will get there. He has good coaching, is a marketable guy, and is talented. He will fight in the UFC.

FYI - Gerald just got back from England where he was training with Rampage, Bisping, et al at Wolfslair. He had fights scheduled for July, August, September, October, and November. He won the July & August fights, September was cancelled due to a hand injury, and now has the above fight next week.
