I don't think that finale victory shows that War Machine is better just because it was in the UFC. After all, he beat another TUFer (Jared Rollins) in a fight that he was likely about to lose until snatching the victory in the final seconds and then got destroyed in his next UFC bout. If you stack their records up against each other, Harris matches up well and probably gets the edge - although I guess I would agree that you can't necessarily say "much better" although I think he has fought more experienced guys than Machine and had "better losses" than Machine.

Also, although Gerald lost his fight once they got in the house, he did lose to the eventual champion by stoppage late in a fight that most believe he was winning until that point. Plus, he had to win a fight to get into the house - so he did win a fight on the show.
Right as I said War Machine has more recognition for winning a fight in dramatic fashion on live tv in the UFC.

Other than that you cant really give an edge to either fighter based on their careers so far. Both have won in impressive fashion on the smaller shows but have loss to very tough fighters in the big orgs.

I think Gerald will end up with a better career as he has the better mental make up, wrestling, overall athleticism, and he seems to be training hard.

I'm sure not a lot of people on the minor league circuit want to fight Harris, but it's a shame b/c he hasn't fought a legit opponent (officially) since August of last year, when he was stopped by Radach. I thought he deserved the nod vs. Leopoldo, who is a solid fighter.

War Machine has a lot of heart in the ring or cage. He's obviously kind of a dummy, but I respect his tenacity. I don't think he's as gifted as Harris.

One slight criticism I have of Harris is his propensity to getting into slugfests with better strikers. While he has solid hands, his chin is not exceptional and he needs to tailor his gameplan to deal with that fact.
    I heart Jazzy B. White.

We're pretty much on the same page PJ. I do think, however, (in my biased opinion) that Gerald's overall body of work is a little better. He's beaten Curtis Stout (who fought in UFC & against several name guys), Robert McDaniel (who fights in EliteXC), and other guys who've had numerous fights either before or after he fought them (one guy has over 50 fights). And his losses came against Leopoldo (where many think he actually won) and Radach (where he was fighting pretty evenly before getting clipped). Of War's 7 fights, more than half have been against guys with less than a handful of fights (guys who are 1-3, 1-3, 0-3, and 2-2). His 2 losses came against Yoshida (where he was never in the fight) and against that 2-2 guy.

For those picking the main event, although Dolce has fought at middleweight in the past and was at middleweight on TUF, this fight is at welterweight.

War Machine allegedly suffered a pulled groin, and the Dolce fight has been rescheduled for November 21st. Not only that, but the entire fight card - including Gerald's fight - has been postponed until that same date.

Gerald says this fight card has been moved to November 22, and that he will now be fighting 2 weekends back-to-back. November 15 in OK, November 22 in AL.

Good to see Gerald staying active and making some money. I also think it could be a good thing that he is fighting on some of the smaller circuits fine tuning his skills and gaining experience before going back up with the big dogs.
